Outreach & Events

I will continue to do knitting outreach to scientists and science outreach to knitters. Please contact me on my Facebook page or on Twitter if you would like me to present my science or knitting or both at one of your events.

Ongoing:

I help run an after school knitting club for 5th and 6th graders at the Seton School in Palo Alto. If you are local and interested in helping out or learning more, contact me at craftimism@gmail.com.

I occasionally host a knitting/crocheting group at Cafe ZoĆ« in Menlo Park. For more details, see the events on Craftimism's facebook page. Beginners are welcome!

Past events:

April 27, 2018 - Taste of Science Festival - "Where Art Meets Science" event in Palo Alto, CA. I displayed my science knits, showed people yarn under the microscope, and had volunteers teach adults and kids how to knit.
