Mighty Maddy's Cheetah Hat

In November, I was lucky enough to design a hat for Maddy, a 6-year-old girly-girl who loves all things cheetah print. Maddy was recently diagnosed with cancer and has since been very brave and strong battling the treatment. Since I learned about Maddy, I have been following her journey on her "Mighty Maddy" Facebook page and I have been very impressed by her attitude and enamored with her contagious smile.

Maddy wanted a Cheetah print hat so I took some inspiration from this pattern and designed the hat in her favorite colors of pink and purple. I added the purple flower as an extra touch for this special gal. I am touched to have been able to help put a smile on her face! Best of luck, Maddy! I am rooting for you!

The pattern for this hat is listed here on Ravelryhere on Craftsy, or directly here. All proceeds from this hat will go to Children's Cancer Connection and will help support Maddy and other children like her who are battling cancer.

I would like to thank Meridith Swoyer of the Children's Cancer Connection in Des Moines for helping me help others! I can't wait to design more hats for more special kids!
